This project is commissioned by Mind Orchard alongside with Disney to create character portraits for a web game, based on a short 4 episodes TV series called, The Evermoor Chronicles.
There was a lot of emphasis on stylized realism of the characters. It reinforced the importance of capturing the essence of each character and having that shine through the art, rather than just trying to do a realistic portrait based on photos.
This game is no longer available on Disney website, but you can still play here: The Evermoor Chronicles: Evermoor High
This project was done in collaboration with Ray Chan under tight deadlines.

Evermoor ~The Thread of Fate~ (Tara)
Tara went through the most revision as she is the main character of the game.
From the start, they requested for stylized realism of the characters, but it was difficult to know how much stylization is too much.
So during the last stage of revision, Joanne first drew the portrait in most realistic way possible, then Ray exaggerated her features after.
This worked out perfectly, and now there's our game version of Tara!
